KATHMANDU, Oct 21: Police have arrested the main masterminds behind the September 20 bomb blasts that occurred in various schools of the Kathmandu Valley.

Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu has rounded up General Secretary of CPN (Maoist Center) Keshab Dahal alias Prakash and the Student Union member Binod Thapa alias Min Devkota.

Dahal and Devkota were the main masterminds behind the September 20 bomb blasts in valley schools, said police.

“Police have been successful to arrest the masterminds behind the September 20 bomb blasts in various schools of Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts,” said Thapa.

Thapa added that police are preparing to make them public today.

On September 20, two bombs had gone off at 3:40 am in two schools near Bouddha area.

Similarly, suspicious objects had been found in eight schools of Kathmandu and one of Lalitpur.
