Tamghas (Gulmi), Oct 24: Nepali Congress leader and central committee member Shekhar Koirala has said that the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) registered the impeachment motion against the CIAA chief in the parliament in a hurry without holding any discussion with NC.

Stating that the NC would not make any decision on such a sensitive issue of impeachment in any whim, Koirala said that his party would take decision only after holding discussion in the party for the same.

The NC leader said so at a press meet organized by the Press Union, Gulmi, this morning.

He also blamed the CPN (Maoist Center) of neglecting the NC as its government coalition partner. Koirala said that it was compulsion to hold local bodies' election to save the country from instability, saying foreign powers have been making attempts to make the country instable by making constitution neutral.

Koirala said, "The country is in a very complex situation. It is necessary to hold local bodies' election for implementing and upholding the constitution. The constitution should be protected even after holding election of representative assembly if election of local bodies' is not possible."

Stating that the constitution could not be amended without bringing CPN-UML into consensus, NC leader Koirala expressed that NC, CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) should move ahead collaborating among each other. RSS
