Two dead in tractor mishap

MUGU, Oct 24: Two people died when a tractor (Be 1 Ch 6310) carrying supplies from Surkhet met with an accident at Khatyad area of Khamale VDC at around 11 am on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as the tractor driver's assistant Lalit Saru (16) of Surkhet's Uttarganga VDC-8 and tractor owner Dhan Bahadur Dangar (40) of Gamtha VDC-5 of the district, both of whom died on the spot.

The driver has been missing since the accident took place, according to the police. They are yet to get his identifications, without which, it is impossible to track him down, they added.

A team of police from Shreekot Police Post had reached the incident site which is a day's walk from the district headquarters Gamgadhi.

An organization named Dilip Company had recently built the road track from Gothi Jiula to Gamthi VDC, locals said.
