13 gamblers held from Hotel Himalaya

KATHMANDAU, Oct 28: Police have arrested 13 gamblers including proprietor from Hotel Himalaya based at Kwabahal in Lalitpur district on Friday.


The police have seized Rs 600,000, Japanese Yen 100,000, AUD 220, USD 725 along with crowries and other paraphernalia from the spot, DSP Romendra Singh Rothore told Republica Online. 

With the onset of the Tihar Festival, the second biggest festival of Hindus, gambling activities are on the rise in the Capital.
