ILAM, July 11: One person has succumbed to injuries in Darjeeling on Tuesday. Ashok Tamang, 36, who sustained bullet injury fired by the police on July 8, died while receiving treatment in Sikkim.

ILAM, July 9: Death toll in fresh violence in Darjeeling has reached four. Aasha Kumar, who had received police bullets on Saturday during the Gorkhaland Movement in Darjeeling of West Bengal in India, succumbed to injuries on Sunday morning.

But unfortunately he was defeated. Karmarcharya, who was the mayor of Ilam from 1987 to 1989, had also filed his candidacy for the same post in 1997 but was defeated back then.
