LAMJUNG, Jan 16: Kaulepani, Gaunsahar developed as a tourist destination some six years ago and to attract even more tourist in the locality, various developmental activities are taking place in the area.
LAMJUNG, Dec 26: There are around two dozen tin-roofed huts on the banks of Chepe River that divide Lamjung and Gorkha. These days, a large number of children and elderly people here are seen basking in sun out of the huts. In lack of warm clothes and shelter, they are found shivering in the cold.
LAMJUNG, Dec 17: Twenty-nine years old Prabhat Ghimire of Dordi Rural Municipality, is a primary level teacher. Ghimire, who has done masters in Nepali, earned a teaching license by passing the exam of Teacher's Service Commission (TSC).
LAMJUNG, Dec 8: The final result of elections in Manang has released where CPN- UML has secured the position to the House of Representatives. According to the Chief District Officer (CDO), Hari Prasad Pant, left alliance candidate Poldenchopang Gurung, who is the UML leader won the election for the House of Representatives. Poldenchopang secured 2,300 votes while his nearest rival Tek Bahadur Gurung from Nepali congress garnered 2,021 votes.
LAMJUNG, Nov 2: Police have arrested a youth with 17 kilograms of gold from Khudi Bazaar, northern Village Development Committee of the district. The arrested is 31-year-old Pasang Lama of Danakyu of Nasong Rural Municipality.
The construction of Dalit Museum in Gaunsahar of Thumkidhada is about to finish. With the establishment of the museum, the area is expected to be a visitors’ hub. Gaunsahar also boasts a persuasive home stay facility, initiated by the District Development Committee, for its guests.

MANANG, August 15: Since the past few years, Jagdish Pakhrin of Rasuwa has been working as a laborer in another mountainous district, Manang. Similaraly, Maya Gurung, Indra Bahadur Gurung and Muna BK of Gorkha, Arjun Pakhrin of Rasuwa among others are engaged in construction of houses, hotels, monasteries and even roads. Most of the workers involved in the construction works in Manang are earthquake victims. Hundreds of victims who were rendered homeless by the catastrophic earthquake of April 2015 are earning for their survival by doing labor work in Manang.
LAMJUNG, May 3: At a time when the political parties are facing hard time in finalizing the candidates for the local level election, Narfu rural municipality of Upper Manang has elected all the members unopposed.
