DPM Shrestha discharged after recovery

KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has been discharged from the hospital today. Home Ministry Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that Minister Shrestha, who was undergoing treatment at Shahid Gangalal Heart Center in Bansbari, was discharged after recovery.

The ministry has expressed its gratitude to the hospital family including Dr Maskey, the medical team, nurses and the director of Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center, who were involved in the treatment of the Deputy Prime Minister.

He was admitted to the center on the 5th of December and underwent angioplasty. Minister Shrestha was treated by a team of doctors including Dr Arun Maskey, the Center's physician. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, former President Bidya Devi Bhandari and others reached the hospital to wish DPM Shrestha a speedy recovery.
