Five parliamentary committees to hold meetings today

KATHMANDU, April 7: Five parliamentary committees are holding meetings simultaneously today. Accordingly, a meeting of the Industry and Commerce and Labor and Consumer Welfare Committee will be held at 1:30 PM.

During this session, officials from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies will engage in discussions on the establishment of a consumer court, as mandated by Section 41 of the Consumer Protection Act of 2075 BS.

Prior to this, at 11 am, the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee will meet to discuss the bill aimed at amending various Acts. The meeting will involve deliberations on sections pertaining to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, and Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security.

Similarly, in the Women and Social Affairs Committee meeting at 12 noon, the current situation and the monitoring of international non-governmental organizations will be discussed.

At the meeting of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, which will be held at 11 am, there will be a discussion with the members proposing amendments to the bill aimed at consolidating the law related to school education.

Similarly, in the meeting of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislative Committee to be held at 12:30 PM, the formation of a sub-committee will be discussed.
