Gold price decreases by Rs 400 per tola

KATHMANDU, March 17: Gold price decreased by Rs 400 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday. 

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the new transaction price of fine gold stands at Rs 125,000 per tola on Sunday.

Earlier on Friday, fine gold was sold at Rs 125,400 per tola. Compared to Thursday, the trading price of fine gold fell by Rs 400 per tola on Friday. On Thursday, the rate was Rs 125,800 per tola.

Similarly, standard gold is currently being traded at Rs 124,400 per tola, marking a decrease from Friday's rate of Rs 124,800 per tola.

Meanwhile, silver price has seen an increase of Rs 15 per tola. On Sunday, the price of silver reached Rs 1,530 per tola, up from Rs 1,515 per tola on both Thursday and Friday. This reflects a rise of Rs 15 per tola compared to the rate from last Wednesday.

In the international market, gold is being bought at $2156.08 per ounce on Sunday. This is a decrease of 0.25 per ounce or $5.50 from the previous day's price.

Similarly, the price of silver has reached $25.18 per ounce, indicating an increase of 1.36 percent compared to the previous day's price.
