KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Light to moderate rain is falling at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places in the rest of the provinces. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), there will be partial to normal change in the weather across the country today.

According to the MFD, due to the low pressure line of monsoon being near Nepal and the influence of the low pressure system in the northwest region of Bihar, India, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places today afternoon and night.

In the afternoon, the weather will be normal to partly cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh and Karnali provinces. Heavy rain with thunder and lightning is also possible at a few places in Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places in the remaining provinces tonight. Similarly, the officials of MFD said that there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places of Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Furthermore, the officials of the MFD have requested everyone to take precautions as the water level in the rivers could rise and floods, landslides and erosions may occur due to heavy rainfall.
