In Pictures: International Labor Day being observed today

KATHMANDU, May 1: The International Workers’ Day or International Labor Day is being marked across the country today. The Day has been marked since 1889 in recognition of the 1886’s workers’ movement that demanded respect to work in the US.

On this occasion, trade unions and labor fraternities conduct different programs.

The General Federation of Nepalese Trade Union (GEFONT) organized an assembly in Bhrikutimandap this morning. Here are some pictures of the event:
