Indian President to be offered letter of civic felicitation in three languages

JANAKPURDHAM, Nov 2: The letter of civic felicitation to be presented to President of India Pranab Mukherjee by the people of Janakpur has been prepared in three languages—Nepali, English and Maithili. 

The Indian President who is presently on a three day state visit to Nepal is arriving here on Friday and the Janakpur people are organizing a civic felicitation in his honor, according to the Civic Felicitation Program Committee Coordinator and Janakpur Sub Metropolis Chief, Punya Prasad Luintel. 

The felicitation letter will make a mention of the relationship between the two holy shrines—Janakpur and Ayodhya of India, marital relations between Janaki and Ram, the Mithila-Awadh relations, languages and culture of both countries and the Nepal-India bilateral-relations. 

The President of India will pay homage at the historic Janaki Temple and attend a civic reception to be held at Tirhutiya Gachhi. 

The works of decorating the Temple with flowers are going on. Likewise, security has been beefed up here in view of the upcoming visit by the Indian President, said Janakpur's Chief District Officer Dilip Kumar Chapagain.

President Mukherjee is scheduled to spend 55 minutes in Janakpur and he will be received at Janakpur Airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi. 

Welcome gates have been constructed in a distance of three kilometers stretching from Janakpur Airport, Janakpur Temple premises to Gachhi. 

Flags of both countries and banners welcoming the Indian President have been placed in the electricity poles. Works to embellish the major thoroughfares and intersections in the town are underway, it is stated. RSS
