Janhvi on Sridevi's death anniversary

Janhvi on Sridevi's death anniversary

MUMBAI
Four years ago, on February 24, 2018, news of Sridevi's unexpected demise came as a rude shock to the fraternity and fans. Having said that, Sridevi’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram handle to remember her.

Taking a trip down the memory lane, Janhvi shared one of her endearing moments from her childhood days with her mommy, and penned an emotional note which read, “I’ve still lived more years with you in my life than without. But I hate that another year has been added to a life without you. I hope we make you proud mumma, because that’s the only thing that keeps us going. Love you forever”.

Back in 2019, during an interview with Filmfare, Janhvi had opened up about the Kapoor family coming together in their time of grief. “You know at the end of the day, we have the same blood in us. I don’t remember anything of those four months but I do remember that one day when we were sitting in Harsh (Harshvardhan Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s son and Janvhi’s cousin) bhaiya’s room and Arjun bhaiya and Anshula didi came in, I think that was the one day when I felt like, ‘Ok maybe we might be okay," she said.

Sridevi died months before Janhvi’s 2018 debut film ‘Dhadak’. She then appeared in Sharan Sharma’s ‘Gunjan Saxena’, Hardik Mehta’s ‘Roohi’ alongside Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma. She will next be seen in ‘Dostana 2’, ‘Good Luck Jerry’ and ‘Mili’.
