KATHMANDU, June 28: The country is currently under the influence of the monsoon season, resulting in light rainfall in certain areas of the Koshi and Lumbini provinces during the morning, as reported by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology of the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The weather is expected to be partly cloudy across the country in the afternoon. According to MFD, light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is possible in some areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few locations in the remaining provinces. MFD predicts that wind is likely to blow in many parts of the Terai region in the Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, including Madhesh Province, and in few places in the Terai of the other provinces.

Similarly, there will be partial to moderate showers across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in certain areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as a few places in the rest of the provinces. There is also a possibility of gusty winds in many areas of the Terai region in the Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and a few places in the Terai of the remaining provinces.
