Nepal ‘A’ lose toss, to field first

KATHMANDU, April 7: Nepal ‘A’ lost the toss against Ireland Wolves in the third and last one-day match today and were asked to field first. Ireland captain Neil Rock won the toss and elected to bat first at the TU Cricket Ground.

For today's match, Nepal fielded Rupesh Singh, Bikash Agri, Ranjit Kumar, and Arjun Kumal, opting to rest Aarif Sheikh, Basir Ahmed, Mausam Dhakal, and Kamal Singh Airee from the previous match.

Nepal suffered defeats by 21 runs in the first match and by a staggering 114 runs in the second encounter. In their pursuit of 158 runs in the first match, Nepal were bowled out for 136 runs, while they managed only 60 runs chasing a target of 175 in the second match. Matthew Humphreys proved to be a formidable opponent, claiming 5 wickets in the first match and 6 in the second.
