Nepal records four more COVID-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Nepal has recorded four more COVID-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the country's coronavirus death toll to 95.

At a virtual media briefing, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population Jageshwar Gautam shared that one each from Mahottari, Dhanusha, Achham and Morang districts succumbed to COVID-19.

Gautam said that an 85-year-old female from Dhanusha Mithila Municipality-7 who earlier tested positive for coronavirus died while undergoing treatment at the BPKIHS, Dharan, on Wednesday.

An 18-year-old male from Ramaroshan Rural Municipality-5 of Achham died of coronavirus at the Patan Health Sciences Academy on Wednesday. He was a heart patient.

Another male from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-3 died of coronavirus while undergoing treatment at the Koshi Hospital on Wednesday. He was 57.  The man was also a diabetes and hypertension patient.

Likewise, 45-year-old male from Matihani Municipality-6 died while undergoing treatment at the Ram Janaki Hospital. His throat swab was collected and sent for testing which came out positive on Wednesday. He was a tuberculosis and diabetes patient.
