KATHMANDU, April 7: In the SMS Friendship Cup T20 final, Nepal has set a target of 177 runs for Gujarat to win.

Nepal managed to score 176 runs, losing 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs of the first innings of the match.

Nepal's captain Rohit Paudel was caught out after scoring 74 runs off 46 balls as the third wicket. Kushal Bhurtel contributed 19 runs off 21 balls. Dipendra Singh Airee was dismissed after scoring 7 runs off 3 balls. Mohammad Asif added 34 runs off as many balls. Kushal Malla scored a quick 31 runs off just 13 balls, while Sandeep Jora made 7 runs off 3 balls.

Earlier, Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first.

In the ongoing tournament, Nepal reached the final after losing one match and winning all others. However, today's match may pose a challenge for Nepal, especially after their loss to a weaker team in the last match.
