Nepse inches up 7.32 points, while daily turnover hits Rs 1.46 billion on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, Nov 2: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday increased marginally by 7.32 points to close at 1,938.30 points.

This is the second consecutive day that the secondary market took an upward graph. The daily turnover was recorded at Rs 1.46 billion, up from Rs 1.29 billion on the previous day. 

The market opened at 1,930.97 points and fell to as low as 1,916.58 points within a few minutes of the trading started. The index reached the maximum at 1,956.42 points before losing by around 18 points to close for the day.

Except for banking, trading and non-life insurance, the remaining 10 trading groups lost in their average share prices. Seven of them gained double-digit points.

In individual companies, Shivam Cements had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 78.56 million. Corporate Development Bank Limited was the topmost gainer, while Sabaiko Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha lost the largest percent in its market value.
