PARBAT, Dec 4: One person was killed on the spot when a bus hit a tractor at Kushma Municipality-8, Chuwa this morning. The deceased has been identified as Bishal Lamichhane, 18, of Chauwandi village in Udayapur district.

The accident took place when a bus (Ga 1 Ja 0098) heading towards Parbat from Pokhara hit a tractor (Ko 2 Ta 6427) coming from the same direction.

According to the District Police Office, Parbat, Inspector Rajendra Adhikari, workers of Mid-Hill Highway were riding in the tractor and five of them were seriously injured.

14 people have been injured in the accident. The injured have been taken to District Hospital Parbat while the critically injured are rushed to Pokhara for treatment. The bus and its driver are under police control. Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
