KATHMANDU, June 14:  Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu organized award giving ceremonies of the 10th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing Competition and the 6th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Speech Competition on Tuesday. 

During the ceremony, Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi gave away awards to the students.This year, the topic of Essay Writing competition was “SAARC - How can it be used for Regional Prosperity”. Students securing first, second and third position in the Essay Writing Competition were presented Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along with Souvenir and cash prizes. The next ten best students were also presented with consolation cash prizes. 

Top position holders of the Speech Competition on “Impact of Climate Change on our Livelihood - Common Challenge to South Asia” too were given Gold, Silver, Bronze medals along with souvenirs and cash prizes. The next thirteen best students also received souvenirs and cash prizes.

A large number of Nepalese students from 38 Higher Secondary School to University students participated in the two competitions. Ambassador Hashmi lauded the participating students for their critical thinking and called on them to embrace the challenges of the future. The envoy also highlighted the importance of youth interactions between the two countries as the abiding bridge.
