PM congratulates Nepali cricketers for qualifying for Asia Cup

KATHMANDU , May 2: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has congratulated the Nepali national cricket team for winning the title of ACC Men's Premier Cup.

The head of the government has pledged to highly acknowledge the achievement of Nepali cricketers and to encourage and award them.

It may be noted that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, Purna Bahadur Khadka were there at the Kirtipur-based TU Cricket Ground during the final match between Nepal and the UAE to motivated the Nepali cricketers. Their presence followed the directions of the Prime Minister for the same.

Following Nepal's victory, the deputy prime ministers congratulated the team, extending their best wishes for more success in the days to come.

With this, Nepal has been qualified to play the Asia Cup taking place in September. In the final match held today, Nepal defeated the UAE by 7 wickets.
