HoR and National Assembly speaker scheduled to meet PM Dahal

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli held a meeting at Singha Durbar this morning. 

Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Dev Raj Ghimire and Speaker of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina are also scheduled to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Dahal today.

According to Prime Minister Dahal's Secretariat, the meeting was related to the upcoming budget session. On the recommendation of the government, President Ram Chandra Paudel has summoned the budget session at 4PM on February 5. A number of bills are scheduled to be presented in the parliament for endorsement in this session.

PM Dahal is constantly holding consultations on the business of the parliament and the priorities of the upcoming budget. It is said that PM Dahal and UML Chairman Oli discussed the budget session and other contemporary issues.

UML Chairman Oli told media persons that the meeting was focused on concluding transitional justice issues at the earliest. He said that they discussed the issues of differences in the TJ Bill and ways to address those differences.
