Pulchowk, Shree Kumari win

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Pulchowk Sports Club registered two consecutive games to stay at the top of the Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Division League table with two first half goals on Thursday.  

At the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Complex in Satdobato, goals from Ram Kaji Kumal in the ninth minute followed by a spot kick goal from Tika Raj Gurung in the 35th minute sealed the win for Pulchowk against Madhyapur Youth Association. 

Nepal U-15 captain Pradip Lamsal reduced the deficit for Madhyapur in the 52nd minute with a clinical free-kick. 

Madhyapur has three points as it had earlier defeated Khumaltar Youth Club 3-2. Shree Kumari registered its first win of the tournament stunning Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 4-2. 

Shree Kumari conceded two goals in the space of eight minutes as Sansar Nanda Palanchoke opened the scoring in the ninth minute, and Unam Budathoki doubled the lead in the 17th. But, it was a game to forget for RCT as Sujan Maharjan scored a brace, while a goal each from Ganesh Budawal and Bishal Tamang sealed a stunning comeback. 

Maharjan scored his first goal in the 34th minute beating three defenders to put the ball into the back of the net, while Budawal equalized the game in the 55th minute.

Two minutes later, Shree Kumari took the lead through Maharjan, while Tamang sealed the game with a goal in the 88th minute. Shree Kumari and RCT both have three points each.
