SMS Friendship Cup: Nepal faces defeat to Baroda

KATHMANDU, April 5: The Nepali national cricket team faced defeat in the final match of the SMS Friendship Cup triangular series.

In Friday’s encounter, Nepal suffered a loss against Baroda by 37 runs. Notably, Nepal had emerged victorious against Baroda by 27 runs in the initial match.

Nepal scored 119 runs all the loss of all ten wickets with six balls remaining. Baroda had set a target of 157 runs.

On the bowling front, Gulshan Jha and Karan KC both secured two wickets each for Nepal, while Lalit Rajbanshi, Pratish GC, and Akash Chand each claimed one wicket.

Nepal is scheduled to compete against Gujarat in the ultimate showdown on Sunday.
