Prem Jaiswal believes that all humans were created equal but the variance in their lifestyle provides each human an individual identity.
“Though you long for a certain way of living, your economic condition restricts you,” he stated as he continued fastening the brakes of a bicycle in his workshop. The 42-year-old cycle mechanic from Motihari, India, at present resides in Om Bahal with his five children and a spouse. He came to Nepal a year after his marriage in hopes of starting a new life.
A few minutes away from his residence, he operates a cycle shop with the smell of brake oil. “I did not continue my education. I started working as a cycle mechanic from a very small age. This occupation enabled me to start a new life here which has so far helped me provide for my family, and also educate my children,” added Jaiswal.
