"Sound of Existence" on exhibition

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The art exhibition 'Sound of Existence' by artist Manish Lal Shrestha is on display from November 12 at Dalai-la, Thamel. The exhibition features paintings having motifs such as bells and shells which for Shrestha are the metaphor of sound to depict the spiritual realization of existence. According to a press statement released by the artist, the title of the exhibition interlinks with existential values of life. He believes life does not exist without sound, reverberation of the heartbeat and serene flow of the bloodstream.

The press statement quoting Shrestha added, "Life is the fraction of time and thoughts. It is a cluster of different metamorphosis of emotional stigmas. Throughout my process of art creation, my personal indulgence professes towards the vibrant metaphor of sound, situation and time. The circle and the dots depict the source of eternity in my works. “

Shrestha is a multidimensional visual artist, who has had 14 solo exhibitions, several workshops and residencies internationally in Holland, Switzerland, France, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, USA, South Korea and Taiwan.
