KATHMANDU, March 31: The Special Court has allowed the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to detain the suspended managing director of Nepal Telecom, Sunil Paudel, and the suspended executive director of the Security Printing Center, Bikal Paudel, arrested on charges of illegal acquisition of wealth to be detained for 21 days for further investigation.

Dhan Bahadur Karki, the spokesperson for the Special Court, said that the bench of the Special Court chairman Tek Narayan Kunwar, members Tej Narayan Singh Rai and Ritendra Thapa approved the extension of detention for the Paudel duo.

The CIAA arrested the Paudel duo on January 24.
