KATHMANDU, June 4: Education Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) is set to host the third edition of ECAN Corporate Futsal. The announcement was made at an event held in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The 12-team in-house staff tournament is sponsored by Austraian College Mint International in association with Rightpath Career Counseling Pvt Ltd. 

Teams from ECAN’s Kaski, Chitwan, Lalitpur, and eastern branches will participate in the annual event, according to Basudev Dahal, chief of extra-curricular activities at ECAN and co-ordinator of the futsal tournament.

Dahal said such tournaments will motivate staffers to adopt healthy lifestyle, apart from promoting sports in cities like Kathmandu where it is difficult to find open space or field to play outdoor sports.

Current head coach and former captain of national football team Hari Khadka has been roped in for inauguration of the opening ceremony, according to ECAN.
