KATHMANDU, Oct 29: After the success of its international collaboration ‘Stay Open’ with The Arbitrary Group, Tuborg is now launching ‘Dream Big Project’, as part of ‘Tuborg Open Sessions’.

‘Tuborg Open Sessions’ kicked off with ‘Harshako Geet’, and songs are being released every Saturday and Wednesday morning at eight, on the YouTube Channel ‘Channel Arbitrary’, as per a press statement issued on Sunday by Gorkha Brewery, the makers of Tuborg in Nepal.

The open sessions consists of some of the biggest names in Nepali music fraternity, including Manoj Kumar KC, Bidhan Shrestha, Deepak Bajracharya, Uday Sotang, Sheetal Moktan, Shreya Sotang, Rohit John Chhettri, and Swoopna Suman to name a few, according to the statement.

The open sessions is a YouTube series featuring live studio-recorded performances by some of the prominent Nepali artists, both established and emerging, the statement said, adding that the sessions offer new rendition of Nepali songs, from old classics to new popular songs.

The digital platform offers its open approach of producing rich Nepali musical collaborations mixing various genres. The songs featured so far have garnered total views of over three million with a total whopping impression of 10 million and total unique viewers of over two million, as per the press statement.

“With ‘Channel Arbitrary’, ‘Tuborg Open Sessions’ intends to fulfill what is lacking in Nepali music industry and provide digital platform for artists and musicians to experiment, work together and gain new experiences by sharing and creating opportunities for each other,” the company said.

‘Dream Big Project’ is a platform where people are given a chance to collaborate and perform at ‘Tuborg Open Sessions’. A web portal has been set up where any aspiring singer/band can upload their song, either their own or cover, to showcase their talent.

After careful screenings of all the videos received, experts will select 10 budding singers/musicians from the participants. The selected contestants will then get a chance to collaborate with musicians from Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory and Arbitrary Records under the aegis of ‘Tuborg Open Sessions’. The collaborative videos will be later uploaded on ‘Channel Arbitrary’ and ‘Tuborg Open Sessions’ Facebook page.

Tuborg has a long successful legacy of musical collaborations with artists. With ‘Dream Big Project’, Tuborg is hoping to set new trends in terms of digital musical collaboration in Nepal by paving a path for upcoming young artists, according to the statement.
