KATHMANDU, July 16: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, has said that the MCC projects should be implemented within the deadline.

Talking to media persons after the party's Secretariat meeting held on Saturday, Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali said that the UML is in favor of implementation of MCC projects without interference. Gyawali informed that various aspects of bilateral relations between the US and Nepal were discussed with the visiting US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu, who came to Nepal on Friday.

"We believe that the MCC projects should be implemented within the deadline without any interference. Discussions have been held on all these issues," he said, "Various aspects of Nepal-US bilateral relations were also discussed in the meeting."

Gyawali also said that the UML should implement the aid received from all countries in a systematic manner that serves Nepal's national interests. "We want that the aid received from other friendly countries, including those that can facilitate the development of Nepal, should be implemented in a systematic manner to serve Nepal's national interest," he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretariat meeting has demanded dissolution of Koshi provincial government as the signature of Provincial Assembly Speaker was also used to prove majority for the formation of new government under the leadership of Nepali Congress (NC). The UML made the demand, terming the government unconstitutional.
