KATHMANDU, June 28: The government has promoted Brigadier General Nirendra Prasad Aryal to the post of major general of the Nepal Army (NA).
A cabinet meeting on Thursday took a decision to this effect.
According to Information and Communications Minister Rajkishor Yadav, the cabinet meeting also promoted colonels Ram Krishna Adhikari and Himalaya Bikram Khatri as brigadier generals.
Similarly, the cabinet meeting decided to transfer three brigadier generals and 10 colonels. Also, the meeting promoted three lieutenant colonels to colonels.
