  Jewelries worth Rs 1.5m stolen

LALITPUR, July 17: Burglars on Monday night broke into a house in Jawalakhel and made away with gold and silver jewelries worth over Rs 1.5 million.

Police said the intruders sneaked into Dr Rajiv Thapa’s house and decamped with 24 tolas of gold, 102 tolas of silver, a piece of diamond jewelry and a laptop, the combined value of which has been estimated at Rs 1.574 million.

Police are investigating the case.
