  8 Nepali pilgrims die in India road accident

KATHMANDU, Aug 13: At least eight Nepali pilgrims have been killed and three dozen others injured in a bus accident near Sitamarhi of India on Monday.

Among the deceased, six are men and two are women. All of them hail from  Dhanusha district. They were on their way back home to Nepal from Babanath Dham of Jharkhand, India, when the mishap happened.

Most of the injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Sitamarhi and the rests are being treated in Jaleshowr District Hospital in Mahottari. The bus (Ja 1 Kha 678) fell into a river from the bridge.

Around 70 passengers were on board during the time of the accident, it has been learnt.
