KATHMANDU, Aug 14: International fast food chains Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Pizza Hut and Cream Bell, run by Devyani International Nepal, have been closed indefinitely on Tuesday.
“As some staff have been beating up their senior managers, threatening them to take their life and refusing to take instructions from the management, we are forced to shut down our services for an indefinite period under existing labor act, “ said Vishnu Reddy, country director of Devyani International Nepal in the statement.
Under the company, five different outlets --Pizza Hut, KFC and Cream Bell at Durbar Marg; and KFC and Pizza Hut Delivery (PHD) at Blue Bird Mall in Tripureshwor—were operating in Nepal.
