  Gold price surges again on Thursday

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: The price of the gold has further increased on Thursday and set a new record high of Rs 58,600 per tola (11.644 gm) in the domestic market.

The price of the yellow metal went up by Rs 550 per tola today from Rs 58,050 per tola on Wednesday. On Tuesday, it was Rs. 57,700 per tola.

Meanwhile, the price of gold in the international market has drastically gone up. On Wednesday evening, the international price of gold was increased by $20 per troy ounce. Earlier, the gold price was $1, 640 per troy ounce.

According to Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers´ Association, the price of gold has increased in the domestic market in line with the increase in price at the international market.
