  College Goers On Wheels

    KATHMANDU, June 19: Owning your own vehicle might mean different things to different people. For some, it’s a basic necessity, for some it means independence, while others own vehicles out of passion or just for fashion. Kathmandu roads are pretty hectic, be it for riders who have lots of experience, or those who have just started riding.

We talked to young college-goers about their experiences on wheels and off them. In this edition of Campus Talk, ten students of Malpi Institute in Gairidhara discuss the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ of Kathmandu roads and dig out their riding memories.

  Exploring Africa Through Its Films

    KATHMANDU, June 19: On the second day of the Nepal Africa Film Festival, films like Yesterday’s Slave, Burma in my Mind, Hotel Rwanda, Kinyarwanda and Screaming Man were screened at the Russian Cultural Centre in Kamalpokhari.

This is the third year of the festival and the theme for this year is ‘Bridging gap between Nepal and Africa’. The festival, organized by College of Journalism and Mass Communication, will end on Thursday, June 20.

 
  Rajiv Of MTV Roadies To Party In Kathmandu

    KATHMANDU, June 19: Lucky Ace Events and Entertainment will be bringing Rajiv Laxman of the TV show, MTV Roadies, for an event which will be held on June 21 at Mulchowk Restaurant in Baber Mahal.

Titled ‘Sensation White’, the event features popular Nepali musicians Hemant Rana and Abhaya and the Steam Injuns, who will be performing live. Various lucky draws with surprise gifts are also a part of the event, which will be wrapped up with a dance party featuring DJ Finzok.
