SURKHET, Sept 21: Karnali residents are facing problems returning home to celebrate Dashain as the Surkhet-Jumla section of the Karnali Highway that was damaged by landslides 45 days ago, has yet to be repaired.
Residents of Kalikot, Jumla and Mugu are facing the prospect of trekking for two to seven days to reach their villages.
Of the 212 km stretch of the Surkhet-Jumla road, only 107 km is operational.
