KATHMANDU, Sept 23: In what has been claimed as a major crackdown on burglars active in the capital, police have busted a gang accused of involvement in over 60 cases of burglaries in the capital.
Metropolitan Crime Investigation Division on Wednesday made public eight members of the gang that was active in the capital for the last six years. It was surprising for even the police that no member of the gang had a criminal record and was arrested during the period.
The arrested are Sujan Kumar Sunuwar from Ramechhap, Chakra Bahadur Tamang from Dhading, Roshan Tamang from Kavre, Sukaram Tamang from Dhading and Shukra Bahadur Tamang from Kathmandu, Suman Tamang from Kavre, Buddha Lama from Lalitpur and Chenga Tamang from Mangkha.
