Passengers stranded on Prithvi Highway in Dhading

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Hundreds of passengers have remained stranded along the Prithvi Highway on either side of Jogimara in Dhanding district since early Thursday morning, TV channels and FM radios reported.

Incessant rains since Wednesday caused landslide at Jogimara, leading to the blockade.

As a result, passengers leaving and arriving in the capital have been forced to remain stranded. Prithvi Highway is one of the main arteries joining the capital with the rest of the country.
