MAHENDRANAGAR, Oct 10: Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is organizing the fourth Industrial Trade Fair and Kanchanpur Tourism Festival from October 29 till November 8 in Mahendranagar.
Hem Bikram Thapa, chairman, KCCI, said the event is being organized to promote agriculture, cottage industries, tourism, science and technology, alternative energy, rural technology, culture, art and literature in the district. Thapa also said District Development Committee, Bhimdutta Municipality, Ministry of Commerce and Supplies and Mahendranagar Town Development Committee are lending their helping hands to organize the festival.
“Nepal Tourism Board, Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, Cottage and Small Industries Development Program, Alternative Energy Promotion Center and Information and Technology Center are also supporting the event”, says Thapa.
The 11-day event will feature around 175 stalls and is expected to record transactions worth Rs 40 million.
The organizers are expecting the participation of visitors from different parts of the countries and neighboring Indian towns.
