KATHMANDU, Oct 13: The price of gold rose to a record high in the domestic market on Tuesday, as the yellow metal created a new high in international bullion market.


According to Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, gold price rose to Rs 25,635 per 10 grams on the day, up from Rs 25,465 of Monday. The previous high of Rs 25600 per 10 grams was recorded on September 17.

Similarly, silver too is being traded in the country at the record high prices of Rs 441.50 per ten grams over the last few days.


20 social activities to mark 20 years

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Prisma Advertising Agency has announced social activities to celebrate its anniversary. The firm said Tuesday that it would be performing 20 social endeavors to commemorate 20 years of its operation.

Issuing a statement, the firm said it was committed to accomplish the social works within a year. The first of these activities was a blood donation organized at its office premises in Kathmandu on Sunday. The company has also launched a nationwide blood donation drive that it has dubbed VolUnteer.

The firm also announced an annual cash prize of Rs 50,001 for the best economic journalist of the country. The firm said in the statement that it had handed over Rs 11,001 to journalist Gajendra Budhathoki who was partially paralyzed after an accident last year.
