ILAM, Oct 26: An unidentified group has murdered an NC activist* at Godak of Mechi Highway on Monday morning.
Chandra Prakash Hangama ´Rama´, 25, of Fungling-7, Taplejung was attacked by the group while he was riding on a motorbike. The gang stopped the bike and started hitting him with knife and iron-rod, according to police.
His body was found a few meters away from the bike of registration number Ko 2 Pa 6996. Hangama is the youngest son of Pratap Prakash, NC´s candidate for the CA at Taplejung constituency no 2.
Pillion rider Moti Patanwa was also seriously injured in the incident.
Area Police Office, Pashupatinagar is investigating the case.
