ILAM, Oct 29: A strike called by UCPN (Maoist) affected works at all government officers in various five hill districts in eastern Nepal on Thursday.
The Maoist party called the strike demanding action against those involved in killing of Maoist worker Lagam Liwang and establishment of civilian supremacy.
District Administration Offices in Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung, Dhankuta and Tehrathum however remained unaffected.
These districts fall under the Maoist-defined Limbuwan State.
