  One dead, 14 injured in bus accident

KOHALPUR, Nov 8: A person died and 14 others were inured after a passenger bus (Na 3 Kha 9747) heading to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj hit a stationary bus (Na 3 Kha 3227) from behind near Ghantawa bridge along the East-West Highway in Banke district on Sunday morning.

Area Police Office, Kohalpur, said Yam Bahadur Gurung, 50, of Khalte VDC, Dhading district, died in the incident.

Som Bahadur Paudel of Nepalgunk, Lalit Thapa of Bardiya and 12 others were injured in the accident. The injured are undergoing treatment at Kohalpur´s Medical College.

Police have started investigation after arresting bus driver Mahendra Thapa.
