  Prohibited zone area around Singha Durbar extended

KATHMANDU, Nov 10: The Kathmandu District Administration on Tuesday announced new prohibition zones in the capital ahead of the Maoist program to encircle the Singha Durbar, the principal secretariat of the government.

The program, as part of the ongoing anti-government protest, has been scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

According to the local administration law, people are not allowed to hold even peaceful rallies.

According to a press statement issued by the administration, rallies have been prohibited in and around Kalikasthan area and 100 meter from north of Padmodaya School. Earlier, the prohibition zones did not include these areas
