BIRGUNJ, Nov 15: Government offices in Birgunj reopened on Sunday after remaining closed for five days in protest against Minister of State for Agriculture Karima Begum´s manhandling of Chief District Officer Durga Prasad Bhandari last Tuesday.
Eight different associations of civil servants on Saturday decided to reopen the offices keeping in view with the plights of common people. They have given a five-day ultimatum to the government to arrest Begum.
Offices in the neighboring Bara district also opened on Sunday for five days.
