  Sangina receives int'l referee license

KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Former taekwondo sensation Sangina Baidya and seventeen others received international referee license on Tuesday.


They had attended the 56th international referee seminar held in Bangalore, India from September 3-6 and faced the test for license. World Taekwondo Federation awarded the certificate to them on Tuesday.

Likewise, Tika Prasad Limbu, Ishwar Man Bajracharya, Rajesh Prajapati, Nabin Kumar Shrestha, Norbu Lama, Badri Prasad Ghimire, Harihar Prasad Pande, Phanindra Khadka, Bimala Bhandari, Gobinda Prasad Sharma, Min Neupane, Rabin Joshi, Pushpa Raj Joshi, Bhim Lal BK, Kishor Kumar Thapa, Nirmani KC and Dinesh Shrestha also received the license.


Nepal win T20 practice match

KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Nepali national cricket team won their third practice match against Lal Bahadur Shastri Cricket Club Delhi, India on Tuesday.

The home team won the toss and elected to bat first. LBSCC put up 97 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the T-20 format´s match. LBSCC´s Ranji player Sandip Kausik struck 39 runs for their innings. Shakti Gauchan and Sanjam Regmi took two wickets each for Nepal.

In reply, Nepal crossed the target losing 8 wickets in 19.3 overs. Gyanendra Malla played 34 runs knock to reach the target.

The Nepali team is in Delhi to play five practice matches before heading to the UAE to participate in the ACC T-20 Cup to begin next week.
