KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Binod Bhandari, in his first international appearance for Nepal, scored a majestic six in the last ball to help Nepal defeat Kuwait in ´bowl out´ during an ACC Twenty-20 Cup match in Dubai on Monday.

Nepal needed 13 runs in the last over for a win and were able to score six runs until before the last ball. Six runs from Binod in the last ball leveled the score with Kuwait, leading the game to a tie. Nepal then won the match in bowl out 3-2.

Captain Paras Khadka, Dipendra Chaudhary and Sanjam Regmi hit the stump during the bowl out. Former captain Binod Das and Sanjam Regmi missed the target.

Kuwait put up a good starting with 51/1 in 5 overs and 80/3 in 9 overs but Nepali team brought them down in a dramatic scene. Kuwait´s Hasim Mirza hit one four and four sixes to score 34 runs in 20 balls while Yassir Idris scored 28 and Sibtine Raja added 27.

Left hand spinner Basanta Regmi and bowler Dipendra Chaudhary took six of the last seven wickets demonstrating exemplary bowling for Nepal in international Twenty-20. Dipendra conceded 11 runs in 3 overs while Basanta gave away 10 runs in 3.1 overs.

In batting, opener Mehboob Alam contributed the highest 32 runs -- including three fours and two sixes -- for Nepal in 33 balls. Another opener Dipendra scored 16 runs, Paras hit 14, Gyanendra 10, Binod Das 6 and Basanta 12. Sharad Vesawkar was sent to the pavilion just for one run. Binod Bhandari (not out) scored a four and a six to add 25 runs. Mahesh Chhetri (not out) scored 5 runs.
