REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPPN) has announced a five-day protest to mount pressure on the stakeholders concerned to write a new constitution on time. A central committee meeting of the RPPN on Saturday decided to launch protests starting January 24, said a statement issued by the party.

The party has announced to hold door-to-door programs and publicity campaign in Kathmandu valley for two days starting January 24 and to organize corner meets and take out torch rally in the valley on January 26.

The party has called Kathmandu valley shutdown on January 27. It said it would stage satyagraha and hold mass meeting in front of Singha Durbar, the central government secretariat of the country on January 28.

The party also condemned plantation of two bombs by unidentified group on its office premises on Saturday morning. A bomb disposal team of Nepal Police had defused the two bombs.
