KATHMANDU, Nov 29: A delegation of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), led by the President Binod Chaudhary, met with Home Minister Bhim Rawal on Sunday and expressed concern over rapidly deteriorating law and order situation in Birgunj and surrounding areas.


According to a press statement, the delegation apprised the Home Minister of rising incidents of threats, extortions, kidnappings and other myriad of criminal activities and added that such incidents were making it impossible for industries and businesses to operate in the area. The delegation also stressed that the situation had already become critical and immediate action was needed.

During the conversation, the home minister assured the team that the government is serious over the situation and informed them about the various initiatives aimed at improving security situation in the country. He also clarified that the government would not tolerate any kind of criminal activity, regardless of their political and other affiliations.


Jasmine launches Safety sanitary pads

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Jasmine Hygiene Products, a subsidiary of Sarda Group of Industries, Sunday launched Safety Wings and Safety Dry, extensions to the already popular brand line Safety sanitary pads. The company has also announced cash prizes in every pack of all Safety packs.

A press statement said Safety pads have recently come up with a new marketing tagline, ´Awashyakta Harek Naari Ko´. With the launching of new brands, it now has a range of six products - Safety Regular, Safety Ultra, Safety Eco-ultra, Safety Swing, Safety Wings and Safety Dry, giving consumers a wide variety to choose from.

The products are said to have been designed, considering the comfort and hygiene necessities of women. Both Safety Wings and safety Dry are available in packs of 8 pads, priced at Rs 55 and Rs 45 respectively.
